Daily Tour FAQs:

Q: How long is the tour?
A: Choose from 2 different tours: Tour #1 is 60 minutes & Tour #2 is 90 minutes. Tour #1 departs every hour on the hour. We recommended purchasing in advance as tours may sell out! Tour #2 requires advance purchase. (see our seasonal hours/times under “Tours”)

Q: Are there any stops during these tours?
A: There are no stops on the 60-minute tour, unless there is an emergency, so please plan accordingly. There are 2 stops on the 90-minute tour (please see description of Tour #2 under “Tours”)

Q: Are these tours narrated?
A: Yes, these tours are narrated accompanied by fun Beach Boys music!

Q: What should I wear?
A: This is an open-air vehicle, so you should dress accordingly. Keep in mind that loose articles such as hats, scarves, etc. may fly off in the breeze/wind. In the winter months, jackets and coats are necessary. Even during the summer months you may want to wear a light sweater, sweatshirt or jacket. Sunglasses and sunscreen are HIGHLY recommended all year round.

Q: How do I purchase tickets? / Where do I get tickets?
A: Tickets can now be purchased online via this website. You may also purchase tickets directly from the driver prior to the departure of each ride (which is every hour on the hour), however, it is recommended that you purchase online ahead of time to guarantee your seats as it is first come, first served.

Q: How early should I arrive before my scheduled time?
A: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. This will allow time to board the Hot Rod Limo and get settled. If you do not see the limo it is most likely on a tour and will return shortly, we are not allowed to have signs on the street.

Q: Is there stroller or wheelchair storage?
A: We are sorry, but there is no storage of this kind.

Q: What if it’s raining?
A: The Hot Rod Limo does not run in the rain. Please check our Facebook and Twitter pages if you are unsure of the weather and to check on if we are running that day.

Q: How many people does the Hot Rod Limo hold?
A: The Hot Rod Limo seats 8 people.

Q: Should I tip the driver?
A: Gratuity is not mandatory; however, if you had fun and you enjoyed the ride, then please consider tipping your guide!

Q: Do you give refunds?
A: There are no refunds.

Q: Can I book a private tour or party?
A: Yes, please call for a quote and for more information.

Q: How do I book a private party?
A: To book a special, private charter, please call (805) 689-6763.

Q: How many people does the Hot Rod Limo hold?
A: The Hot Rod Limo seats 8 people. Due to weight restrictions, we cannot seat any more than 8, even if it seems like more people will fit.

Q: Is there a minimum of hours I need to rent the limo?
A: There is a one hour minimum for private parties/charters.

Q: Do you do Wine Tours?
A: It will be our pleasure to take you on a Wine Tour of Downtown Santa Barbara’s Urban Wine Trail (aka the “Funk Zone”), however this vehicle is not really built for the freeway/highway so we cannot take you to the Santa Ynez Valley, Los Olivos, Solvang or Lompoc Wineries or Tasting Rooms.

Q: Will you make stops on a private tour?
A: For a private charter, you may make as many stops as you like.

Q: Can we bring our own music?
A: Yes. You can hook up your iPod, iPhone, or USB stick or you can also bring CDs.
